"THE PINK COFFIN TREKKERS ARE ON THEIR WAY HOME!!!
WE ALL MADE IT TO BASE CAMP MOUNT EVEREST ON EASTER SUNDAY!!!
It has been incredible, exhausting, emotional, stunning, gruelling, fantastic, amazing, smelly, challenging, and unforgettable!!! On our way down now and a full report will be filed on our return to the UK next week.

The target has been exceeded again by you! From today our new target for The Pink Coffin Trek raising money for Chris Hall's MND Tribute fund goes up to a staggering £20,000. In addition to monies that we have already been pledged we hope to raise this amount by the end of May. We will be organising a post event fundraiser to show you our photos and tell our stories and raffle off some souvenirs from the foothills of Everest!
Raising the stakes

Today we will exceed our initial goal of £10k when the latest batch of cheques are added off-line. The team have done an incredible job so far raising funds so we are upping the target to £15k. Knowing the sums already pledged to our team and the energy and determination of our trekkers to raise as much as possible we are confident this can be achieved before we hit the foothills of Everest - CHRIS WOULD HAVE BEEN TICKLED PINK!
High Altitude Training

This weekend, the team are off for a high altitude training weekend in Snowdonia with advice on kit, dealing with altitude and some walking tips. We have been doing lots of training in Yorkshire, Wales, the Peak District and off to the Lakes soon. Have a look at some of the photos on our photo page for training clips.

Snowy Conditions Provide Realistic Training Opportunity

It was definitely good Base Camp training this weekend as the team trained in white out conditions in the Goyt Valley this weekend. One member did complain it was too cold at -4˚C – only about another 11 degree drop to get used to in Nepal!
Remembering why we are going - Scattering Chris's Ashes

Great walk this weekend in Edale this weekend. Importantly, we all remembered Chris as we scattered some of his ashes looking out onto an amazing view over the Peak District. Whenever we are there, a part of him will be around.
