Sitting on the rooftop of the world, Nepal provides the ideal geographical and spiritual backdrop for this demanding, but rewarding challenge.
This outstanding trek to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain will take us through the lush valleys of Sagarmatha National Park. Eight of the world’s fourteen peaks that exceed 8,000m in height are situated in the Nepalese Himalayas. The highest of them all, standing at 8,848m, is Mt. Everest.
This trekking adventure begins at Lukla, where we will trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. There we will acclimatise to the altitude, following the trail across numerous rivers and gradually heading uphill from Thyangboche, where we will reach a highpoint at Kalapathar (5,545m) with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers including Mt. Everest.
Yet this climb is not to be taken lightly, it is a tough hike to Base Camp and only very physically fit people with a degree of mental preparedness will reach their goal.
This will be a demanding but hugely rewarding event. Thank you for supporting us.
